Havana, April 18 (RHC)-- Cuba recalls the diplomat, politician and writer, Raul Roa Garcia on the 112th anniversary of his birth.

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that to write the history of Cuban revolutionary diplomacy requires the inclusion of Roa as an indispensable figure.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez recalled the intervention of the diplomat in the UN in 1961, in the context of the mercenary invasion of Playa Girón, organized by the United States to overthrow the Revolution.   Raúl Roa at the UN, 58 years ago said: "A unanimous clamor shakes all of Cuba today (...). My small and heroic country is re-enacting the classic struggle between David and Goliath. Allow me to shout: Homeland or Death! We will win!"

Bruno Rodriguez added that Roa's defense of the Revolution in different scenarios and complex situations with intelligence and energy makes him The Foreign Minister of Dignity.
