Barbados Prime Minister receives Cuban Foreign minister

Havana, June 17 (RHC) The Prime Minister of Barbados, Ms. Mía Motley, received the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, in Bridgetown on Monday,  Cubaminrex news website reported.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged about the good state of the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation that unite the two nations, and reiterated the mutual willingness to continue developing them. They also discussed issues on the regional and international agenda.

The Cuban Foreign Minister thanked Ms. Motley for Barbados support to Cuba and also expressed the willingness of the island to continue developing and expanding the political dialogue and bilateral cooperation.

The Cuban top diplomat also held talks with other Barbadian high-ranking officials, like the president of the Senate, Sir Richard Lionel Cheltenham, and the deputy speaker of the Parliament, Gline Clark.

With his visit to Barbados, Rodriguez puts an end to his Caribbean Tour, which he described in Twitter as very successful, and as an opportunity to  express appreciation to Caribbean nations for their solidarity with Cuba, and to ratify the island´s willingness to continue strengthening relations with CARICOM.
