President of Friendship Institute Winds up Visit to Vietnam

Havana, April 12, (RHC), – A delegation headed by the president of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP), Kenia Serrano, wound up a visit to Vietnam after meeting on Friday with members of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

Serrano and her delegation exchanged views with members of the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association, two very active groups in solidarity with the island, PL news agency reported.

During her stay in the South Asian country, the ICAP president met with Construction vice-minister Nguyen Tran Man and with the city’s government vice-president Tran Xuang Viet.

The Cuban delegation also took part at traditional festivities for King and Queen Hung considered to be the founders of Vietnam in the province of Phu Tho.

The guests left Ho Chi Minh City for Laos on the invitation of the president of the National Friendship-with-Cuba Committee. Laos will be the second and last country to be visited by the Cuban delegation.
