Havana, November 14 (RHC)-- The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the alleged link of Cuban diplomatic personnel with the violent events that took place Wednesday at the Venezuelan Embassy in Brazil.

"We deny the slander spread on social networks and by Globo, which tries to involve the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Brazil, with the events that took place at the Venezuelan Embassy in Brasilia, when the right-wing opponents of Nicolas Maduro invaded its facilities," Cubaminrex informed.

A statement by the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Brazil warns that "Cuban diplomats scrupulously respect the letter and spirit of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic and Consular Relations, and they demand it be respected.

According to local media, about 20 people entered areas of the Venezuelan embassy, after jumping over a wall surrounding the builing and positioned themselves at the entrance of the embassy.  There are reports that the group is made up of both Brazilians and right-wing Venezuelans who live in Brazil.
