Havana, April 20 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez called attention on Monday to the importance of international cooperation in knowledge and good practices in the fight against the new coronavirus SARS Cov-2.

On his account on the social network Twitter, the head of Cuba's diplomacy said that in the fight against COVID-19, "it is urgent to exchange experiences, share information, scientific research and resources; to join forces."

He also said that "it is up to the international community to act together to shorten the duration of the pandemic and save lives.  There is still time."

In a recent statement, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said:  "The magnitude of the current crisis compels us cooperate and practice solidarity, despite political differences."

"The virus does not respect borders or ideologies."  For this reason, it is necessary to share and offer valuable and reliable information as a matter of urgency.
