Havana, July 3 (RHC)-- The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has called on people to maintain responsibility in the post-COVID-19 stage, when on this day the entire Caribbean nation is in the gradual process of returning to normality.

"Happy July 3rd -- when all of Cuba enters the post-COVID-19 stage," the president wrote on his Twitter account, a message that he accompanied with a call for joy that does not make us forget our responsibility.

"Today we won a battle, but we haven't yet won the war," he added, along with the tag #DisciplineVsPandemia.

This Friday, Havana began the first of three phases planned for the first stage of recovery from the pandemic, after almost 15 days of favorable health indices.

Also on this date, thanks to the positive results in the SARS CoV-2 confrontation, the rest of the country's provinces -- except Matanzas -- move on to the second phase.
