Havana, July 12 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today recalled the words of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the importance of peace, disarmament and the solution of the foreign debt.

Bruno Rodriguez shared on Twitter a fragment of the speech given by Fidel in 1986 during a solemn session of the Non-Aligned Movement in Zimbabwe.

"If the statesmen of the capitalist countries are unable to see that peace, disarmament and the foreign debt are inseparable issues, they will be admitting their total inability to contribute to the solution of the problems of today's world," Fidel said at the time.

The revolutionary leader was a tireless fighter in favor of peaceful development and disarmament and in 2016 he stated that the greatest danger on earth is "the destructive power of modern weapons that could undermine the peace of the planet and make human life impossible."
