Cuban Young Communist Leader Visits Vietnam

Hanoi, May 28 (RHC) -– The First Secretary of the Cuban Young Communist League Yuniasky Crespo is in Vietnam to participate in the General Congress of the World Federation of Democratic Youth.

Upon her arrival in Hanoi, Crespo was welcomed by Nguyen Manh Dung, permanent secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth, who will meet with the Cuban visitor on bilateral cooperation issues.

The Cuban youth leader is scheduled to visit places of historic interest such as the Reunification Palace, scenario of the final actions that liberated former Saigon in 1975. Crespo will also meet with communist leaders at the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, according to PL news agency.

The agenda also includes visits to the Cu Chi tunnels used by the Vietanemse combatants against the US military aggression and the Thanh Nien newspaper.
