Havana, January 20 (RHC)—The National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, announced 349 new cases of Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, and 5 fatalities.

There is now a cumulative total of 19 122 diagnosed cases since the beginning of the pandemic, and 180 deaths.

The expert regretted that despite all the effort being done on the island, and the measures adopted since the first cases, with the growth of the number of infected cases reported in January, the risks are greater as well as the possibilities of more deaths.

During his morning briefing on national television, Duran said that there are currently 5 5467 patients hospitalized; of them 4417 are positive cases.

Havana reported the most cases with 170, followed by Guantanamo with 33.
