Cuban Authorities Investigate Murders Linked to Illegal Departure

Havana, June 12 (RHC) –- Cuban authorities found the dead bodies of four persons who were murdered presumably in an attempt to illegally leave the country, in the western province of Artemisa.

According to the Cuban Interior Ministry, the dead bodies of four persons violently murdered were found on June 10th on a farm called Niña Bonita, Playa Baracoa, in the Artemisa municipality of Bauta.

According to preliminary results of the investigation, the murders were linked to an alleged plan to illegally leave the country with support from abroad.

Cuban authorities say they will continue to keep the public informed as information is made available.
