Tokyo, June 13 (RHC-PL)-- Japan and Cuba discussed strengthening cooperation in agriculture and fishing sectors during a meeting between Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Cuban Ambassador Marcos Rodriguez, Prensa Latina news agency reported.

Official sources in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, reported that the Japanese agriculture and fishing minister expressed the willingness of his team to further expand exchange and cooperation relations in this sector.

The minister said that this collaboration is a priority for both countries, and stressed the complementary nature of exchanged experience between the two nations and mutual support to increase efficiency in the quality and quantity of agricultural production.

Fish ranks among Cuba's top exports to Japan, which in turn supplies the Caribbean island with electronic products.
