Mexican Navy Ship Pays Courtesy Visit to Havana

Havana, July 10 (RHC)-- The Mexican Navy Ship Multipurpose MP-01 Huasteco is paying a visit to Havana until Saturday, July 12, while its crew will meet an agenda that includes visits to military, government and cultural institutions.

The Mexican seamen will pay courtesy visits to the Chief of the Cuban Revolutionary Navy and the President of the Provincial Government, as well as the Naval Academy and places of historic and cultural interest, according to the Prensa Latina news agency.

The visitors were welcomed at the Havana harbor by Navy Department Chief, Captain Fernando Suarez, and by the Deputy of Foreign Relations with the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Navy Captain Juan Gualberto Maceda, as well as the Mexican ambassador to Cuba, Juan Jose Bremer.

The Mexican ship will be open to the public this week before its departure from Havana.
