Mexico City, August 27 (RHC) -– The Association of Sugar Technicians of Cuba (ATAC) plans to establish cooperation mechanisms with Costa Rican and Guatemalan related organizations in order to contribute to the professional development of their members, the organization said this week.

In an exclusive interview with ACN, Eduardo Lamadrid, president of the ATAC, labeled as very positive so far the ongoing 36th Convention of the Association of Sugar Technicians of Mexico, where Cuba participates as a guest.

A group of national experts will present 13 of the 19 papers approved by the event's organizing committee and will participate in a scheduled exhibition in Boca del Rio, in the state of Veracruz.

In June, Cuban and Mexican specialists held a technical meeting in Havana on the need to lay the foundations of a sustainable, efficient, diversified and flexible sugar agribusiness.
