Cuba Appoints New INDER President

Havana, October 16 (RHC) -– Cuba appointed 50-year-old Antonio Eduardo Becali, a Doctor in Sciences and Rector of the University of Physical Education and Sports, as the new president of the National Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Institute (INDER), replacing current President Julio Christian Jimenez.
According to the announcement on Cuban television Wednesday evening, the Cuban Council of State, on the proposal of President Raul Castro, approved to release Christian Jimenez from his post as president of the institute, which he headed for the past nine years.
The announcement adds that Julio Christian Jimenez will be assigned other responsibilities.
