Havana, January 13 (RHC) -– Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro has written a letter to football star Diego Maradona, who was in Havana on a working visit.

The former Argentinian national player was visiting the Cuban capital of Havana to record the second season of his television show, “De Zurda.”

In the letter, Maradona told reporters the Cuban leader congratulated him on his popular soccer program for teleSUR.

Pictures and a video of Maradona expressing his joy over the letter were published Monday by multi-national TV channel teleSUR and picked up by news agencies in Cuba and around the world.
