Havana, January 15 (RHC) -– The Federation of Cuban Workers (CTC) has called on workers to hold assemblies in all labor centers where managers are to report about the adopted economic plan and budget for this year in each entity.

CTC General Secretary Ulises Guilarte told reporters on Wednesday that the call to assemblies bears a political and mobilizing character and that the idea is that the report on the figures of the plan and budget leads workers to do their bit in favor to Cuban economy.

It is not possible to meet a production plan without the active participation of labor collectives, which have the capacity to use their potential in terms of the efficiency we as unions know they have, said the Unionist.

The workers´ confederation considers it crucial that employers and managers be well prepared since they must have the capacity to present clear and accurate reports based on factual arguments about where we need to make our main efforts. It is necessary that workers know that if we work harder we can achieve better results and this is the main idea of this call, said the Cuban labor leader.
