Madrid, January 26 (RHC) -- Cuba will promote new tourism and business offerings at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid from January 28th to February 1st, said the Ministry of Tourism of the island.

The Cuban delegation, headed by Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero, will brief attendees at the fair about new facilities and services available on the Caribbean island, which is also advertising lucrative opportunities for foreign capital in the ever-expanding tourism sector.

According to the press release, the focus this year will be on the Santiago de Cuba and Remedios destinations in eastern Cuba.

Promotion activities also include the Jardines del Rey keys, which will this year host the 35th International Tourism Fair (FITCuba), from May 5th to the 7th.

Plenty of information will be available as well on more traditional destinations such as Havana, Varadero, Trinidad, the Keys on North Villa Clara province, Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo and Holguin.

Cuba's 170-square-meter stand will be located in Hall 10 of the exhibition, which involves 9,107 companies from 165 countries. There, attendees will also be afforded the opportunity to enjoy Cuban culinary delicacies and authentic Habano cigars, made on the spot by expert cigar roller, Jose Castelar.
