San José, January 29 (RHC-PL) -- Cuban President Raúl Castro said Wednesday that his country will continue supporting the peace process led by the government of Colombia and the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

In his speech at the Third Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Costa Rica, the Cuban president highlighted the progress made so far in the peace talks, which are underway in Havana since November 2012.

“Never before such progress had been made in the direction of peace in Colombia,” he said, and added that Cuba will continue providing necessary facilities and contributing in everything possible to end the decades old conflict and the construction of a stable, lasting peace in that South American country.
