Asunción, February 11 (RHC-PL) -- Almost a quarter of a million Paraguayans have benefited by the Cuban medical program for the visually-impaired.

The Cuban Medical Brigade working in Paraguay has treated some 240,544 Paraguayans, improving or fully restoring their eyesight.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Cuba's Miracle Mission project is working at the Eye Center located at the Maria Auxiliadora District Hospital, in the department of Itapua, more than 400 kilometers of the capital, Asunción.

The project is aimed towards patients with modest economic resources from all the country's regions and even some who arrive from neighboring nations such as Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.
