Havana, April 21 (RHC)-- Cuba's First Vice President Miguel Díaz-Canel met on Tuesday with visiting Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries reportedly discussed U.S.-Cuba relations, the current process to update Cuba's economic model and prospects for development links between New York and Cuba.

Also on hand were foreign ministry officials, including Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Director for North America at the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Speaking to the press in Havana on Monday, Andrew Cuomo said Cuban officials and business executives from the state of New York are exploring ways to do business in Cuba despite the U.S. blockade policy.
