Mexico City, May 11 (RHC) – Mexico has recently listed 50 investment projects in Cuba, and 19 are already in the execution stage, according to Mexican Foreign Minister José Antonio Meade.

The visit to Cuba in 2014 of a delegation of 68 Mexican businesspeople translated into these 50 investment projects, said Meade, who also noted the opening in Cuba last year of a ProMexico office, an agency devoted to promote Mexican businesses abroad.

In addition, Meade said that the first Mexican project on the Caribbean island has been approved for the Mariel Special Development Zone, where four licenses for ferry operations have been granted, one of them for a Mexican company.

Other ventures include a Mexican food production company that will operate in the Mariel Zone.
