Havana, May 26 (RHC) -– The mayor of the U.S. city of Pittsburgh, Bill Peduto, is on a manufacturing trade mission in Cuba through Wednesday to develop business ties, the mayor's office said.

“I'm proud to join the manufacturing community as we represent the city and its rebirth, as we build new ties with Cuba,” Peduto said in a statement, published by TribLIVE.

Catalyst Connection, a South Oakland manufacturing consulting firm, organized the trip and is covering the mayor's travel costs. Other members of the delegation include Lawrenceville-based Epiphany Solar Water Systems and Zell Consultants, an engineering and consulting firm with offices in the Strip District and Coraopolis.
