Cuban President Holds Talks with Head of Mexico's Federal District

Havana, May 29 (RHC) -– Cuban President Raul Castro met on Thursday with the Head of Government of Mexico City's Federal District, Doctor Miguel Angel Mancera, who is on a working visit to the island.

During the talks, Raul Castro and Miguel Angel Mancera expressed satisfaction for the state of bilateral and historical relations of
friendship between Cuba and Mexico and for the development of collaboration projects with the Federal District of Mexico. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues.

The Mexican government official was accompanied by Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, general coordinator for international affairs of the Government of the Federal District; Juan Jose Bremer, Mexican ambassador to Cuba and by Lazaro Cardenas, former governor of the State of Michoacan.

On the Cuba side was Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra and the General Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Manuel Aguilera de la Paz.
