Sancti Spiritus, July 28 (RHC) -- Members of the 26th Pastors for Peace Caravan have confirmed that they will continue the struggle to lift the unjust blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for over half a century.

Speaking to reporters in the central province of Sancti Spiritus, the director of the solidarity organization, Gail Walker, welcomed the restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Havana, but added that the blockade must end in order for relations to be fully normalized.

The daughter of the late Reverend Lucius Walker highlighted the participation on the caravan of a large number of young African Americans who now know Cuba first-hand and can share their experiences with others when they return to the United States.
