Sancti Spiritus, July 29 (RHC)-- The 46th Contingent of the Venceremos Brigade has arrived in the central province of Sancti Spiritus. According to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, ICAP, the delegation of young Americans and Latinos living in the United States will visit places of historical and cultural interest, including the Casa de la Guayabera, a community institution that exhibits shirts donated by personalities from around the world.

The cities of Sancti Spiritus, Trinidad and Yaguajay will host the brigadistas from the U.S. solidarity group, which came to Cuba for the first time in 1969 in order to participate in the sugar harvest and provide support to the young Cuban Revolution.

Since the first contingent over 40 years ago, more than ten thousand U.S. citizens have traveled to our country with the Venceremos Brigade, in defiance of the unjust blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for over half a century.
