Argentinean President Arrives in Havana and Expresses Satisfaction with Visit

Havana, September 19 (RHC)-- Visiting Argentinean President Cristina Fernández has expressed satisfaction with her trip here to attend Pope Francis' mass on Sunday at the José Martí Revolution Square.

"This country and its people are an example of true heroism, courage and firm convictions. It is then an honor for me to be here, even more since I was invited to be part of this historic event -- the Pope's visit,” said the Argentinean head of state upon her arrival Saturday morning at Havana's José Martí International Airport.

During her stay, Cristina Fernández is scheduled to visit with President Raúl Castro.
