Havana, November 4 (RHC)-- The Cuban Ministry of Industries has issued a call for the Second International Convention and Exhibit, to be held next year from June 20th to the 25th in Havana.

Cuban Minister of Industries Salvador Pardo made the announcement at Havana's International Trade Fair on Tuesday and noted that the forum will be an excellent opportunity for scientific and technical exchange, as well as the strengthening of technological associations between local and foreign industries.

The forum, known as “Cubaindustria,” will gather Cuban and foreign academics, entrepreneurs specialized in the light industry and manufacturing sector, the metal and recycling industry and other important areas of that economic field.

Due to the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, the local industry lost over 73 million dollars from April 2014 to April 2015.
