Cuba and China for Closer Bilateral Military Ties

Beijing, December 5 (RHC)-- Cuba and China stressed on Friday the two sides' determination to strengthen bilateral military ties.

Representatives from the Cuban embassy in Beijing and high-ranking Chinese military officers highlighted the mutually beneficial developing of bilateral relations between the armed forces of both countries.

During a ceremony marking the 59th anniversary of the Cuban Armed Forces, the island's military attaché, Juan A. Betancourt, stressed the high level of links between the two militaries.

Betancourt called on both sides to keep working towards even more solid defense ties and bilateral relations of friendship and mutual support.

The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General He Lei; Rear Admiral Li Ji, and Major General Ma Zhangkui, among other high-ranking Chinese military officers.
