IT and Communications Experts Debate Benefits of U.S.-Cuba Cooperation

Havana, December 10 (RHC)-- Professor Raúl Garcés, Dean of the Communications Faculty of the University of Havana, highlighted the benefits that academic cooperation with the United States would bring to contemporary social sciences in Cuba.

Addressing the 8th International Meeting of Information Technology Researchers and Communications Experts in Havana, Garcés said Cuba would gain access to new scientific circles and avant-garde technology.

The Cuban university professor stressed that the participation of U.S. delegates in the Havana meeting of IT and communications experts serves to explore new areas for mutually beneficial academic collaboration between the U.S. and Cuba.
