Kinshasa, January 9 (RHC)-- President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Joseph Kabila Kabange reiterated his country's support for Cuba on occasion of the 57th anniversary of the Revolution.

In a message of congratulations, sent to his Cuban counterpart, Raúl Castro, Kabila Kabange highlighted his government's determination to work together with the Cuban government and people to further expand and strengthen friendship and cooperation relations between the African nation and the Caribbean state.

The General Secretary of the Congolese Communist Party Sylvére Boswa Isekombe, also sent a message to the Cuban head of state, commending authorities for what he called Cuba's successful diplomacy, which brought about the freedom of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters, who unjustly spent more than fifteen years collectively in U.S. jails, and the re-establishment of U.S.-Cuba diplomatic relations.

Also in Luanda, the capital of Angola, diplomats, Cuba friends and Cuban collaborators and residents there, celebrated the 57th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution with a ceremony at the Cuban embassy in the African country.
