New York, January 16 (RHC-PL) -- The Septeto Nacional de Cuba performs Saturday at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx, along with the iconic Broadway Orchestra of New York.

The tres player Yadil Guerra and trumpeter Someillan Agustin will perform in the show entitled Al Rojo Vivo! as guest artists, because some members of the Cuban band were unable to travel due to visa problems.

The Septeto Nacional de Cuba visited New York in the summer of 1927 in order to record its first albums and in 1933 they participated in an event called “A Century of Progress International Exhibition”, in Chicago, where they obtained the gold medal.

Founded by Cuban maestro, the late Ignacio Pineiro, the Septeto Nacional de Cuba is among Cuba's most important traditional music bands. It cultivates different genres such as son, bolero and guajira.
