Cuba and Civil Defense Organization Strengthen Relations

Geneva, January 23 (RHC)-- Cuba and the Geneva-based International Civil Defense Organization, ICDO, agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
ICDO general secretary Vladimir Kuvshinov and Cuban ambassador to the United Nations office in Geneva, Anayansi Rodriguez, expressed their interest in deepening collaboration in disaster risk reduction, in which Cuba has large international recognition.
Kuvshinov expressed his organization´s willingness to contribute to the strengthening of the Cuban civil defense system.
Cuba has been a full member of the International Civil Defense Organization since November 2014.
