Cuban Minister of Food Industry Concludes Visit to Namibia

Windhoek, February 9 (RHC)-- Namibian Vice President Nickey Iyambo has met in Windhoek with Cuban Minister of the Food Industry María del Carmen Concepción, who concluded an official visit to the African country on Monday.

During the meeting, the two officials exchanged their views on bilateral relations and reviewed the state of implementation of existing cooperation programs.

The Cuban minister briefed the Namibian vice president on the results of this visit, which she termed as fruitful.

The Namibian vice president praised Cuba's cooperation programs in several sectors.

During their stay in the African country, Minister María del Carmen Concepción and her delegation visited places of interest in such sectors as fisheries and cattle raising. Minister Concepción and Namibia's Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Bernard Esau, signed an agreement, establishing the road map for short-term cooperation projects.
