President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia Visits Cuba

Havana, May 18 (RHC-PL) -- The President of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, is paying an official visit to Cuba until May 22nd, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

The website of the Foreign Ministry –- CubaMinrex – says that during his official visit, Sanchez will hold official talks with the Vice President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas.

The arrival of the President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia takes place hours after the departure of the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo.

Garcia-Margallo arrived in Havana last Friday, May 13th, and held meetings with Cuban President Raul Castro, with his counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, as well as with Cabrisas, with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca and with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra. During the talks the mutual interest in expanding bilateral cooperation between both countries was confirmed.
