Havana, June 29 (RHC)-- Cuba and Finland have signed an Official Development Assistance (ODA) agreement to restructure Cuba's debt to the European Union.

Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas met here in Havana with visiting Secretary of State at Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peter Stenlund.

The signed agreement is a part of the implementation process of the Multilateral Agreement signed by the Ad-Hoc Group of creditor nations, The Club of Paris and Cuba.

During the exchange, Cabrisas and Stenlund agreed that after the signing of this latest agreement, financial relations between Cuba and Finland have now been completely normalized with the possibility of re-establishing medium and long-term financial assistance.

The two sides also expressed a common willingness to work to expand economic and commercial exchanges, as well as increase investments and cooperation efforts.
