Cuban Cinema Week to be held in Ecuador

A Cuban cinema week will be held from August 3rd through the 9th in Ecuador, where five films will be displayed nation-wide.

altBailando Cha Cha Cha (Manuel Herrera, 2005), La edad de la Peseta (Pavel Giroud, 2006), Paginas del diario de Mauricio (Manuel Perez, 2006), El cuerno de la abundancia (Juan Carlos Tabio, 2008), and Lisanka (Daniel Diaz, 2009), make up the selection for the festival to be inaugurated in Quito.

In addition to the Ecuadorian capital, the films will also be screened in the cities of Cuenca, Azogues, Loja, Latacunga, Ambato, Puyo and Guaranda.

The festival has the support of several Ecuadorian cultural Institutions and of the Cuban embassy to that nation.
