The team of Ciego de Avila, which won the crown of the 51^st Cuban National Baseball Series, received on Tuesday the 50^th Anniversary Commemorative Medal of the UJC, from Julio Gomez Casanova, first secretary of the UJC.

The brilliant lectures of Cuban Mario Granda and Canadian Terry Orlick are among those being delivered today on the first day of the 6^th International Congress on Medicine and Sciences Applied to Sports and Physical Activity, which meets until Friday with the participation of more than 270 delegates from 24 countries, including 80 Cubans, at Havana’s International Convention Palace.
