A collection of the famous series “Imaginary Portraits” by Spanish painter Pablo Picasso is on display for the first time in the city of Bayamo, in eastern Granma province.

Cuban pianist and composer Frank Fernandez was paid tribute by the City Council of Panama City, which declared him distinguish guest for his outstanding artistic merits.

Participants at the Caribbean Festival, underway in eastern Santiago de Cuba, called for the immediate release of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the US since 1998.

Some 1300 delegates from 32 countries are participating at the 32nd Caribbean Festival, which kicked off on July 3th and is scheduled to run until the 9th in eastern Santiago de Cuba.

The crime was in Granada by Cuban choreographer and dancer Irene Rodríguez and ¿Up to where? by Sharon Fridman, Israeli choreographer residing in Spain, won  the 8th Alicia Alonso Iberian American Choreography Award for 2012.
