Cuba is boosting a national reforestation program which focuses on the planting of tree species that contribute to the country’s economic development, said the director of the State Forestry Service Isabel Russo.

In an effort to encourage food production, the Cuban Association of Agriculture and Forestry Experts (ACTAF) is training farmers and cooperative members in the use of environment-friendly agricultural technologies.
