Book on Fidel Castro to Be Launched in Ecuador
Havana, April 10 (ACN-RHC) -- The book ‘Fidel: Time Warrior’ —on the life of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro—, is scheduled to be launched this Tuesday in the Ecuadorean city of Guayaquil, and also on Wednesday at late painter Oswaldo Guayasamin’s Chapel of Man in Quito.
The launch of the book, sponsored by the Guayasamin Foundation and the Cuban embassy in the South American country, will be attended by the book’s author, journalist and writer Katiuska Blanco, and by Abel Prieto, advisor to Cuban president Raul Castro.
‘Fidel: Time Warrior’ is a compilation of a six-hour conversation between the Cuban leader and the journalist, and it reflects Fidel’s ideas and revolutionary thinking as well as important moments of his childhood and adolescence.
Speaking during the TV program ‘Palabra Suelta’, broadcast by Ecuador TV, Katiuska Blanco announced her intentions to continue her dialogue with the leader of the Cuban Revolution to focus on other stages of Fidel Castro’s life, as this volume only covers until 1958.
