Managua, April 14 (RHC) -- Vice President of Cuba’s Institute of Friendship with the People, Alicia Becerra said that Cuba’s solidarity with Nicaragua is deeply felt within the population, reaching all generations and with particular importance among the youth. Becerra arrived in Managua to participate in this Sunday’s XII National Meeting in Solidarity with the Cuban Revolution.

Becerra noted that between both countries there are ties of brotherhood and common hopes of social justice which are not constrained by institutional barriers, because they are within many families.

Furthermore, she continued, many in Nicaragua see as their own, the battles Cuba has fought against the 50 year old blockade imposed by the U.S. and for the freedom of the Five Cuban antiterrorists held in U.S. territory.

Becerra thanked the Nicaraguan people and government all the support received.
