Healthcare workers to open May Day parade in Havana

Havana, April 27, (RHC), -- Workers in the healthcare sector are set to open this year’s May Day parade at Havana’s Revolution Square, Granma newspaper informed on Friday.

alt Some 50,000 staff members from medical institutions in the capital will rally this May 1^st to celebrate another year of victories for the Cuban workers as well as demand the government of the United States to release the five Cuban patriots imprisoned there since 1998 on alleged espionage charges.

Millions of workers throughout the country will join demonstrations in every municipality and capital city to express their support for the development of socialism in the Caribbean nation.
