Spain calls for end of US blockade against Cuba
Madrid, May 14, (RHC), -- Spain considers it "necessary to end the trade, economic and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States" since it "violates the basic rules of international trade," an official statement of the Spanish government said on Sunday.
The remarks answered a question posed last week in Parliament by United Left (IU), spokesman Jose Luis Centella.
The document also highlighted Spain’s frequent condemnation of the US blockade at the United Nations General Assembly and other forums.
Meanwhile, the United Left voiced satisfaction over the government's clear "and forceful" response, demanding "greater activity" from the Rajoy administration to end the blockade. /FOXNews
