Cuban Parliament President to Visit Namibia Next week
Windhoek, June 25 (RHC) -- Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcón will pay an official visit to Namibia from July 1st to 5th, the Namibian Parliament said over the weekend.
According to the Namibian newspaper New Era, Alarcon’s visit will reciprocate that of Namibian Parliament Speaker, Dr Theo-Ben Gurirab, to Cuba in May 2008.
During his four-day visit, Alarcon will hold official talks with his Namibian counterpart, Gurirab, with whom he will review the state of bilateral relations between both legislative bodies and ways the strengthen the existing links of friendship and mutual cooperation.
He will also pay a courtesy visit to the Head of State, Hifikepunye Pohamba, and Prime Minister, Nahas Angula, and will further address a Joint Session of both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday in the National Assembly.
