Cuban Society of Cardiology to Host Several Events in 2012
Havana, Feb 23 (ACN-RHC) The Cuban Society of Cardiology (CSC) will organize or host several scientific events in 2012, including the Cuba-Italy Meeting scheduled for Havana’s Convention Center from May 3rd-5th. CSC President Dr. Eduardo Rivas told the press that this event would be dedicated mainly to cardiovascular surgery and recent innovations in the field.
He added that in July they would also organize the Eighth National Workshop of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention, as well as a regional course to train specialists in image techniques for the diagnosis and prognosis of patients suffering from cardiovascular failure.
Rivas announced that the third ordinary meeting of the CSC’s Administration Board was recently held. During this meeting, new members were initiated into the organization, which is now made up of 262 professionals.
The specialist noted that a program will soon be announced to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the CSC, founded on September 11, 1937, and that preparations are underway to hold the National Congress of Cardiology in 2013.
