Industriales beat Cienfuegos 2-1 and Sancti Spiritus beat Matanzas 6-1 in the first quarter-final games of the western zone, corresponding to the postseason National Baseball Series.

Odrisamer Despaigne stopped the offense of Cienfuegos in the Latin American Stadium in Havana, while Ismel Jimenez from Sancti Spiritus reached 18 successes in the campaign in the game against Matanzas, with a timely home run by Eriel Sanchez.

On Wednesday, the games in the western division will continue, the corresponding east division games will begin.LasTunas vs Ciego de Avila at the Julio Antonio Mella Stadium, and Villa Clara vs Granma.
