Cuba’s Baseball Team Travels to the Netherlands Today

Under the command of Victor Mesa, Cuba’s baseball team will travel to Holland today to intervene in the traditional 2012 Haarlem’s World Port Tournament from July 13th to 22nd.

altOnce the series against the US was finished, the line-up of the Island was released on Tuesday by including catchers Ariel Pestano and Frank Camilo Morejon, along with infielders José Dariel Abreu, Yulieski Gourriel, Rudy Reyes, Barbaro Erisbel Arruebarruena, Aledmis Diaz and Alexander Guerrero.

The line-up is also made up of outfielders Alfredo Despaigne, Frederich Cepeda, Rusney Castillo, Guillermo Heredia, Alexei Bell and William Luis, as well as pitchers Odrisamer Despaigne, Dalier Hinojosa, Freddy Asiel Alvarez, Ismel Jimenez, Vladimir García and Pablo Millán Fernández.

Completing the list of pitchers are Norberto Gonzalez, Darién Núñez, Leandro Martínez and Yadier Pedroso, the latter announced as a starter in the debut on Friday the 13th against Puerto Rico.
