Cuban Chess Player Leinier Dominguez Selected To Attend Grand Prix 2012-13

Cuban chess player, GM Leinier Domínguez (2725), has been selected by the sponsor of world chess AGON, to intervene in the Grand Prix of Chess 2012-2013.

altParticipants are part of the World Championship cycle and have been selected from the previous match for the World Championship, the World Cup, and the best averages since July 2011 to January 2012.

In addition, the FIDE President has nominated a player and AGON has nominated another six.

The Azerbaijani GM Teimour Radjabov (2788) is the highest ranked participant. The tournament competition system consists of six tops where each player is involved in four of the 6 contests.

Dominguez, the best Cuban and Latin American chess player for his ElO, will intervene in the Tournaments of London, from September 20th -October 3rd this year, in Lisbon from April 17th to May 1st, 2013, Madrid from May 22nd to June 4th and Paris from September 18th-October 2nd next year.
