Arab League Condemns Israel for Judaizing Jerusalem
Cairo, February 20 (RHC)-- The Arab League has denounced Israel's continued moves to Judaize the occupied city of Jerusalem. Over the weekend, the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent representatives warned against the risks of Israeli aggressive measures against regional and world stability.
At an extraordinary meeting in Cairo, the Arab League also warned that Israel must respect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic and Christian holy sites, calling them "a red line that must not be crossed."
The statement issued by the Council of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital said there would be no peace in the Middle East unless a viable Palestinian state was created with Jerusalem as its capital. It noted: "All Israeli measures in Jerusalem are null and void in line with international law and international legitimacy resolutions."
