Havana, April 14 (RHC)—The Cuban Children theater company La Colmenita will perform for the first time in Canada next week, in a tour that includes the cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.

Company director Carlos Alberto Cremata told Prensa Latina news agency that the children collective will also travel to Niagara, in Ontario, where they will pay special homage to Jose Maria Heredia, known as the Niagara Singer and considered the pioneer of Romanticism in The Americas.

La Colmenita, designated UNICEF Good-Will Ambassadors were invited by the Cuban embassy in Canada and by Havanarte Productions company. The artists will perform at theaters and schools such as the Canadian Montessory Academy, in Ottawa; and in the prestigious Royal Theater of Toronto.
